Taraju Khata ("the app", "we", "us") is a billing, inventory and shop-management app for jewellery shop owners. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how you can contact us about it.

Who this applies to

Taraju Khata is used by two kinds of people: shop owners and their staff who sign up to run their shop on the app, and, separately, the customers of those shops whose details a shop owner may choose to enter into the app (for billing, credit, or loan records). This policy covers both.

What information we collect

• Account details: your name and phone number, used to sign in and verify your account (by OTP).
• Shop and business data you enter: inventory items, invoices/bills, customer credit records, loan (girvi/pledge) records, supplier and purchase details, and similar business records that a shop owner types into the app to run their shop.
• Customer data entered by a shop owner: where a shop owner records a customer's name, phone number, or transaction history as part of normal shop bookkeeping.
• Photos: where relevant, ID or item photos a shop owner attaches to a loan record (for their own record-keeping).

We do not collect precise location, contacts, camera/microphone access beyond what a user explicitly uses to attach a photo, or browsing activity outside the app.

How we use this information

Solely to provide the app's own features to the person using it: signing in, running billing and inventory, keeping a shop's credit and loan records, sending shop-related notifications (like payment or loan reminders) by SMS/WhatsApp, and keeping the live gold/silver rate feature working.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

We do not share your data with third parties for their own use. Data only passes through two kinds of service providers, strictly to deliver the app's own features:

• Our hosting and database providers, who store the app's data securely on our behalf.
• Our SMS/WhatsApp messaging provider, used only to deliver OTP codes and shop-related notifications you or your shop has requested.

How your data is protected

Data is sent between the app and our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to shop data within the app is restricted by role (owner, manager, staff), and sensitive screens (like Credit, Expenses, and Profit) are limited to shop owners.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account and the data associated with it at any time by contacting us using the details below. We'll act on it as soon as we reasonably can.

Children's privacy

Taraju Khata is a business tool built for adult shop owners and staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
